For this grey scale drawing, I tried to focus on contrast in the fur to make certain points stick out more. I also tried to make the background and grass fade into the bottom of the mane. I think that this was my favorite of all of the drawings we have done this year, even though it was different. I discovered that I like using charcoal even more than pencils for drawings. I think I did a good job with the grass and mane fading into the background to make it look like my reference photo, but I think that I could have left out the little scare on his nose.
